These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Next Chapter Downsizing & Design website and the services we provide. By booking a consultation, contacting us, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Our services

Next Chapter Downsizing & Design provides downsizing and organizing, estate clean-up, move management, new-home setup, pre-listing preparation, and full home transitions for Edmonton families. Consultations are free and carry no obligation. Any quote or estimate is an estimate; the final scope, timeline, and pricing for your project are agreed with you before work begins.

Scheduling & cancellation

We schedule consultations and project work by mutual agreement. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give us as much notice as you can so we can adjust our plans.

Your belongings & decisions

You direct what is kept, donated, sold, or discarded. We act on your instructions and treat your home and belongings with care and respect. You are responsible for removing or securing valuables, documents, and irreplaceable items you wish to handle personally.

Third-party services

Where your project involves movers, haulers, donation organizations, or other independent providers, we coordinate them for your convenience, but they are independent businesses. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, pricing, or scheduling of third parties, though we will always advocate on your behalf.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Our website and any estimates are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Next Chapter Downsizing & Design is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our services. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
